My first priority is always a strong relationship because I know that the therapeutic process can only thrive when it’s built on authenticity, trust and connection.

Guided by genuine curiosity and empathy, I’ll work with you to identify and celebrate your strengths, disrupt unhelpful behavioral and thought patterns, and strategize how to best move forward to build a life you love.

To maximize the potential of my therapeutic work, I draw upon humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive/skills-based theories. I’ll provide you with the support and tools you’ll need to move forward and make progress. Our work will center on navigating the present and managing behaviors and thoughts that may be standing in your way. We’ll also explore the arc of your past experiences for relevant information and collaborate on forward-facing goals to keep us oriented toward progress.

What it’s like to work with me

Therapy

Services

  • It’s tough when your teen is having a hard time and you’re unable to fix it. Maybe they’re struggling with low self-esteem or anxiety. They may be too hard on themselves, having issues with their friend group, experiencing focus or learning challenges, or self-medicating with alcohol or drugs.

It’s often hard for adults to understand teens, especially their own, but I like to think I have a decent grasp on their language. As a parent myself, and having worked with teens for over a decade as a counselor and camp director, I know that beneath all the angst and hormone-fueled emotion, there’s a longing to connect, to feel accepted, and to figure things out. I show up with patience, empathy and zero judgment. I love nothing more than helping young people step into their confidence and create a life they love and feel good about.

  • I work with a diverse range of adults who want to feel better, be more kind to themselves, and find greater fulfillment and well-being in their lives. Whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, or navigating significant life changes, I’m here to provide support and guidance.

I meet you where you are and equip you with the tools and resources to build resilience and face future challenges with confidence. Working with me, you won’t get stuck in inertia. We’ll explore your unique experiences, break negative patterns, and foster deeper connections so that you can move forward into a happier, healthier life.

  • Couples often seek out therapy when the relationship is already in crisis. Working with couples in the exciting time between engagement and marriage is a powerful way to set a strong foundation of effective communication so that the couple is better set up for long-term success. Anticipating and preparing for future difficulties helps couples create a pragmatic framework and develop a toolset to proactively prepare for the many seasons that marriages span, including the inevitable hard times.

In addition to pre-marriage counseling, I also offer annual relationship ā€œcheck-ups.ā€ We are conditioned to do annual physicals with our medical doctors whether or not something is obviously wrong. We should feed and give attention to our relationships in the same way, to ensure health and not just address crises.

Working with couples early and regularly destigmatizes couples counseling and fosters healthier, happier relationships.

  • When couples choose to enter therapy, they’re often already stuck in damaging patterns and cycles of poor communication. Strong relationships don’t just happen and often, simply trying harder without learning new tools and changing behaviors, can be incredibly painful.

I work with couples to interrupt unhelpful patterns, drain reservoirs of resentment, develop effective communication skills, and prepare for future challenges. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you and your partner can develop a greater vulnerability, increased respect, and a deeper connection that allows you to rediscover the joy in your relationship.
